Dry and dehydrated skin

It's all about hydration.


Dry skin is a skin type. Usually people with dry skin lacks oil, i.e. the skin does not naturally process enough natural sebum. When you have dry skin, it usually means your entire body has it, not just your face.


Dehydrated skin is a skin condition. It means the most outter layer of your skin lacks water. Every skin type can suffer from dehydrated skin, including oily skin type. This usually is caused by external factors. For instance, UV rays, hot shower, heating or air conditioning.

Use a cleansing oil that does not strip skin off its natural oil while giving skin a good deep cleanse to remove makeup, SPF.

Follow the oil cleanser with a gentle water based cleanser that can clean out any water saluble impurities as part of the double cleanse regime.

Use the most gentle chemical exfoliator PHA 1-2 times per week to ensure the dead skin cells are cleaned up regularly.
